The picture features runners who, during 2015, participated in the right combination of MCM-organized events to earn recognition as Distinguished Participants. True to the Marine value of Semper Fidelis (always faithful), these individuals consistently ran with the Marines throughout the year and earned a beautiful medal, in addition to esteemed recognition as a Distinguished Participant.
Runners may seek such lofty status by registering and running MCM events during 2016. To become distinguished, runners must participate in four events including either Historic Half distance event (13.1 or Semper 5ive) in May; Run Amuck on June 4; the Quantico Tri or Quantico 12K on August 20; and the Turkey Trot 10K in November. Registration is open now for all events.
Four events=one awesome medal. The Distinguished program is sponsored by VA Runner and Always Advancing.
