Runners thrive on setting goals, conquering distances and moving from one event’s finish line to the training plan for the next challenge. Here’s the rundown for events hosted by the MCM that are open for registration now. The Historic Half and Semper 5ive are held in Fredericksburg, VA on May 15. Run Amuck, the mud and obstacle four- or two-mile events, happens at Quantico on June 4. The Quantico Tri and the new Quantico 12K will be hosted appropriately on Marine Corps Base Quantico on August 20. The MCM Kids Run presented by VA529 is for young runners age 5-12 in Arlington, VA on October 29. Also, that morning, is the MCM Runners bRUNch, a 5K shakeout run followed by breakfast. The bRUNch is hosted at the MCM headquarters hotel, the Gaylord National Resort & Convention Center. The MCM10K presented by aetna begins on the National Mall on October 30. The running calendar concludes with the Turkey Trot 10K and Mile on November 19 back at Quantico. Make the time. Set the goals. #RunWithTheMarines.
