Due to the number of expected deferment re-registrations from 2020, 2021 and 2022, the Marine Corps Marathon Organization (MCMO) will be rolling out the 48th Marine Corps Marathon (MCM) Weekend Events registration in stages.
Deferments:
Those who hold a current deferment will be receiving an email with instructions and a dedicated link on January 11. Registration will be open starting at noon EST on January 11 to February 1. Current deferments must be used before any other means of registration. Please be aware that you will lose your opportunity to utilize your deferred entry if you do not register during this time. Your registration cannot be deferred again even if you are unable to participate this year and will officially be forfeited. This applies to all deferments from 2020, 2021 and 2022.
If you intend to transfer this entry, you must first redeem the deferment and then you may transfer this registration to another runner. More information about transfers can be found here.
Runners Club and Active Duty/Active Reserve:
MCM Runners Club members will also receive a designated registration link via email starting on February 15.
MCMO will also open a limited number of entries on February 15 for Active Duty and Active Reserve military members at www.marinemarathon.com.
Runners Club members and Active Duty/Active Reserve entries will have from February 15 to March 1 to register.
General Registration:
General registration for the 48th MCM will open on March 1 at noon EST on a first come, first served basis.
MCM, MCM50K and MCM10K general registration will remain open until the race field closes.
Access Granted:
If you do not hold a deferment, guaranteed access into the MCM awaits with a successful finish of the live and in-person Marine Corps 17.75K on March 25. Registration opens on January 18 at noon EST for this 11.03 mile run through Prince William Forest Park.
Runners who receive Access Granted will be emailed a MCM registration link following the completion of the Marine Corps 17.75K and verification of results, and will have from March 25 to March 29 at noon EST to register.
Charity Registration:
Lastly, runners can run with purpose for one of our many charity partners. Charity registrations open on April 5. Learn more here.
