Before every MCM event, runners experience pageantry, patriotism and precision during opening ceremonies.
The Colors are regularly presented by the Marine Corps Base Quantico Ceremonial Platoon followed by a performance of the National Anthem. Performers have ranged from Broadway singers to a capella groups and USO-style trios to local artists.
With so many events on the 2017 MCM schedule, there are many planned moments at the start line to pause and honor our country…and you can be part of it.
Whether you are a runner who sings or a singer who runs or a just a singer who supports the Marines, share your talents as a National Anthem singer at an upcoming MCM event.
If you are interested in being a volunteer performer at an MCM event, either as an Anthem singer or on course, please contact the MCM Entertainment Coordinator. Groups or individuals are invited to submit an audio file of no more than 30 seconds or YouTube link. Please share your name, age (if under 18), email address, military connection, if relevant, and cell phone number. Due to the number of demos received, individuals may only be contacted if selected.
