The MCM joins the celebration, as only it can, when Marine Corps Base Quantico celebrates its 100th anniversary this year. Forgo the party hat and cake and lace up your running shoes. During the evening of April 29, the Quantico 100 will challenge runners to log as many miles as possible in a 100-minute window. Wind ’em up. Let ’em go.

The three-mile loop course (distance sound familiar to those that have run PFTs?) will begin at Butler Stadium and end with a fun, free concert.

Runners will clock in every 1.5 miles, accumulating ‘laps’ during the event’s time window. Compete as an individual or join as a team with available categories including male, female, mixed, military and organization. Faster pace=more mileage. For example, a runner at a six-minute pace could log 16 miles. A 10-minute pace would lead to eight miles logged. No matter the speed, runners are encouraged to register on February 17 and share in the celebration.

Registration is $35 for an individual or $100 for a team of three. All finishers receive a commemorative patch.
