runner’s Guide

ARRIVAL DETAILS

The Turkey Trot Mile starts at 9:30 a.m. and Turkey Trot 10K starts at 10:00 a.m. on Catlin Avenue alongside Lejeune Hall.

Water points

There will be two water points located along the course near the following locations:

  • WP 1 is at Mile 1.6 at former Marine Federal Credit Union building
  • WP 2 is at Mile 4.5 at Barnett Avenue, in front of G-3 Supply

baggage

Runners should use the clear plastic bag provided at Packet Pick-up to store personal items on event day. Check the bag at the Baggage Area on event day and retrieve baggage from the same location after a successful finish.

awards

Overall, Masters, Grand Masters and age category winners will receive a frozen turkey or pie award, courtesy of Wegmans.

All awards for the Turkey Trot must be picked up in person at the event.

Register for the Marine Corps Marathon Weekend

Recognized for impeccable organization on an iconic course managed by the US Marines in Arlington, VA and the nation’s capital, the Marine Corps Marathon is one of the largest marathons in the US and the world. Known as ‘the best marathon for beginners,’ the MCM is the largest marathon in the world that doesn’t offer prize money, earning its nickname, “The People’s Marathon.” The weekend also offers the Virtual MCM10K and Virtual MCM50K.
