Registration for the live-only Quantico Crucible on April 17, 2021 will open on January 6, 2021 at 12:00 p.m. (noon) eastern. The registration fee is $40.
The Crucible is a qualifier for the Distinguished Participant medal. The field of participants will be divided into smaller groups and runners may select from multiple start times beginning at 5 p.m.
Registration includes official event timing/results, a technical participant shirt. All finishers receive a commemorative medal. Registration and any associated purchases are final and not refundable by the MCM Organization or any of its partners. Any updates or changes to your registration can be made by logging into your participant account or emailing MCM Customer Service.
The Distinguished Participant medal is earned for a year of running with the Marines. Distinguished status is open to runners of all ages and ability levels and is the perfect opportunity for motivated individuals to participate in the MCM Event Series hosted on or near Marine Corps Base Quantico. Ambitious runners who seek to earn this coveted title and exclusive medal in 2021 must register for events from four of the five tiers, either in person or virtual. Only one event from a tier may count as a Distinguished Participant qualifier.
After registering for the Quantico Crucible some runners unfortunately are unable to participate. These runners may opt to transfer their entry to a non-registered runner through the Transfer Program. The MCM doesn't assist in the identification of individuals to receive a transfer. Runners often find transfer partners on the MCM Facebook page.
Runner-to-Runner: Runners currently registered may transfer an entry to another runner. There is a $25 transfer fee (plus processing) associated with transferring between individuals. Either individual involved in the transfer may pay this fee.
When transferring an entry, runners do not receive a refund on registration fees. Any such monetary transactions must be handled directly between the transferring runners. Entries may not be transferred more than once.
To execute the transfer, please follow these steps:
- Login to your Haku account:
- Click 'Your Regsitrations'
- Click 'Edit Registration'
- Scroll and click 'Registration Options' (bottom right size of page)
- Click 'Transfer'
- Enter the name and email address of the person you wish to transfer registration to
- Select the option to pay the transfer fee or to pass on the transfer fee to the new runner, click "Transfer and Pay $" or "Transfer and Pass Fee" (green button).
