Purpose: To register, acknowledge and promote participation in Marine Corps Marathon Organization events. Information is used to plan, organize, coordinate and execute the events and communicate with the runners and volunteers before, during and after the event to include publication of finisher results, finisher certificates and race photographs, videos and motion pictures. Data and photographs, videotape, motion pictures and other recordings may be used by the Marine Corps Marathon Organization and its select sponsors for surveys, publications on websites, race programs and promotions, newspaper articles, newsletters and other race marketing purposes and runner enhancements.
Routine Uses: Information is accessed by Marine Corps Marathon Organization personnel with a need to know to meet the purpose. Information may be provided to television, online and print media to provide publicity on the Marine Corps Marathon Organization events and to selected sponsors approved by the Marine Corps Marathon Organization. Registration for the 46th MCM is open, with an in-person or virtual option. Registration for the in-person MCM is $190. Virtual registration for domestic participants is $55 and $80 for international.
The MCM welcomes back the event’s most frequent participants with exclusive registration for MCM Runners Club members. Those individuals who have completed at least five MCMs and successfully completed the Runners Club membership process will receive an email with information regarding registration for the MCM. A virtual finish in the MCM or MCM50K will count toward Runners Club status and eligibility.
Runners who deferred an entry from 2020 to the 2021 Marine Corps Marathon Weekend must re-register to complete this process. These runners have received an instructional email and re-registration link to use. There will be no additional fees associated with the re-registration.
Ambitious runners can register and complete three MCM Weekend events through a combination of two virtual and one in-person events or all virtual events, comprised of the MCM, MCM50K and MCM10K. This challenge will reward finishers with a stunning challenge coin in addition to the corresponding finisher medals.
Semper Fi Challenge
Semper Fi Challenge participants receive a special Semper Fi Challenge medal after completing events in May (Historic Half or Devil Dog Double) and October 2021. The October event may be either, the MCM or the MCM50K. The Challenge medal will be awarded in addition to the individual event medals.
Bigger than big. Now hosted in-person on October 31, 2021 and virtually. Runners must complete the virtual ultra-distance during designated run dates in starting October 2021.
Now hosted in-person on October 31, 2021 and virtually throughout the month of October. Runners across the country and around the world can bring the spirit of the MCM10K to sidewalks, trails or favorite local routes.
A wide variety of volunteer openings are available for various things throughout event weekend, for both individuals and groups.
