Marine Corps Base Quantico Access Procedures

New! In accordance with Department of Defense (DoD) policy, all runners, volunteers, spectators and sponsors requiring access to the base for the MCM Event Series must have an approved ID or Common Access Card (CAC) & TESLIN (active, retiree, dependent, reserve, individual ready reserve) and be registered into the Defense Biometric Identification System (DBIDS), prior to being allowed on Marine Corps Base Quantico (MCBQ).

All individuals, age 18 and above, attending a Marine Corps Marathon Organization (MCMO) event on base and who do not possess a valid DoD issued ID card (CAC or TESLIN) must register into DBIDS and stop by the Visitor Control Center (VCC) to obtain a visitor pass.

Prior to arrival at the Visitor Control Center, individuals should pre-register in DBIDS to reduce wait times. Print out the registration confirmation or write down the alpha-numeric (QR) code and bring it with you.

There is no cost to the individual to register or obtain a base access credential. Passes can be obtained at the VCC up to 5 days in advance of the event.

While the MCM Event Series usually occurs on a Saturday, it is important to note that the Visitor Control Center is not open 24/7. Individuals can review the current operating hours of the VCC at www.quantico.marines.mil, by calling 703-784-3023 or 703-784-3024 or by emailing Quantico_DBIDS@usmc.mil. The Visitor Control Center is located off I95 at exit 148.

Passes must be picked up by Friday the latest to enter MCBQ and attend the event. Guests who do not get a visitor pass prior to the event should expect a delay accessing base while they are vetted (or they may be denied base access), which will impact everyone behind them.
