Keep Running
Each and every time you put on your running shoes, the accomplishment is real whether a virtual run, training run or live event run. Stay safe, stay healthy and keep running with the Marines in 2021. Most MCMO events are scheduled as virtual runs initially. Runners must first be registered for a virtual event in order to participate in any events that are ultimately approved to host a live version.
Start Prepared

Desert Storm 218
In honor of the 30th anniversary of Operation Desert Storm, also known as the liberation of Kuwait, the Marine Corps Marathon Organization (MCMO) will host the virtual Desert Storm 218 Miler. Runners ages 10 and up will have the opportunity to complete 218 miles—the approximate distance the Marines covered upon arrival between the main airport in Al Jubail, Saudi Arabia to the middle of Kuwait City. This trek was made from January 17 to February 28, the date the U.S. and coalition troops finally forced the Iraqi army out of Kuwait.

Virtual Historic Half Weekend
Run with the Marines virtually and finish the Semper 5ive miler or the 13.1 mile Historic Half. Add up both distances and register for the 18.1 mile Devil Dog Double to earn all three fresh spinner medals. All events qualify for Distinguished Participant status. Historic Half and Devil Dog Double count toward Semper Fi Challenge.
