After finishing the race, savor your accomplishments at the new MCM Post Race Celebration, a free event hosted by MCM partner, the Crystal City Business Improvement District (BID) of Arlington, Virginia. Expanding on the enthusiastic response to Crystal Run (formerly known as the Crystal City Street Spectacular), the Post Race Celebration will offer participants, spectators and the local community a new way to commemorate the marathon with a live concert headlined by the Spin Doctors.
Beginning at 4:30 p.m., the Post Race Celebration and concert will be located on Crystal Drive, near 23rd Street in Arlington, VA. Plenty of free parking is available in Crystal City and the Post Race Party is easily accessible from the Crystal City Metro Station. Shuttle buses will also be available at the Finish Festival in Rosslyn to take runners and spectators to Crystal City.
The concert will feature the Spin Doctors, best known for their 1991 hit, Little Miss Can’t Be Wrong. Formed in 1988 in New York City, the Spin Doctors full-length debut album, Pocket Full Of Kryptonite, was released in August of 1991. The album quickly went triple platinum and had breached the Top Five among Billboard Pop Albums while spinning off two major hit singles: "Little Miss Can't Be Wrong" and the No. 1 Rock radio song of 1993, "Two Princes." Ultimately, Pocket Full Of Kryptonite sold over five million copies in the US and another five million overseas.
Finishers can also view their race results at the Cisco Check Your Runner Station, located at Caribou Coffee on Crystal Drive.
