Run Amuck, the MCM's messiest mud and obstacle event, offers runners arduous obstacles and plenty of mud along a four-mile course on Saturday, June 23, 2018, starting at Butler Stadium. Run Amuck and the scaled down two-mile version of the course, Mini Run Amuck, offer wild fun for rowdy runners (ages 8 and up), outrageous athletes and fun-loving families.
Run Amuck participants will attack the mud trench, lumber through a low crawl, best a water blast and submerge in a super sloppy mud pit, just three of 20+ challenges that await participants along the hideously hilly course tucked into the wooden terrain of Marine Corps Base Quantico.
The event will originate in Butler Stadium where participants will create a "game face" for event day with cammie face paint and temporary tattoos to ready for wilderness exercises -- perfect for a motivated selfie.
Expect many classic Run Amuck obstacles like the Quantico Fire Department, water blast, tunnels, a-frames, log jumps and massive mud pits while new challenges are always certain to be introduced.
WP1: In Mile 1 after the Corpsman Crawl Mud Pit
WP2/4: Before Mile 1.5 after the Balance Logs & Near Mile 3 after the Suspension Bridge
WP3: Near Mile 2 at the Cargo Net Climb
There will be two medical aid stations on event day. One at Butler Stadium and one on course that runners will pass twice.

Runners may participate in the Run Amuck with hydration packs. All runner and spectator bags brought to the event site will be subject to search.
Run Amuck and Mini Run Amuck begin at 7:00 a.m. with waves of participants starting every 20 minutes through 9:20 a.m. Runners are encouraged to sign up for a preferred and convenient start time. Those attempting to run as a group can always move to a later wave to join friends; however, runners may not join an earlier wave. Within each wave, Run Amuck will launch participants in a continuous manner. Mini Run Amuck participants will be detoured from the longer course to follow the two-mile route.
Waves are designated by colors that correspond to the artwork on each bib. The colored background on Run Amuck bibs and the colored numbers on Mini Run Amuck bibs indicate the runner's wave.
Runner's can expect to start at anytime during the designated 20 minutes for each wave color.
All participants will receive hospitality to include beverages and recovery snacks. Those ages 21 and over will have earned a cold brew courtesy of Michelob Ultra, to be enjoyed while visiting the Finish Festival booths and activities.
