Health & Fitness Expo

Move through Packet Pick-up hosted at the Gaylord National Resort & Convention Center in Prince George's Exhibit Halls C/D/E then enjoy 200+ exhibits and booths featuring everything participants and their support teams. The award-winning Expo welcomes participants, family members, friends, supporters, volunteers and general public. This event is free to the public.

Attendees arrive at the Expo from every state and more than 50 countries. Sample nutritious food, try out the latest exercise equipment, test drive technology, explore recovery products and snap motivating selfies throughout the Expo at designated photo-ops stations. Move through the hundreds of sponsors, charities and exhibitors offering great giveaways, health screenings, literature and selling the latest products. The Expo also features several licensed vendors selling MCM-branded merchandise from apparel to art.

The Expo is open to the public and has no admission fee. The MCM Runners Conference hosted by Columbia Business School is held in conjunction with the Expo and presents motivating and helpful speakers in multiple sessions on Friday and Saturday. When & Where

Remember to bring the eCard to Packet Pick-up at the Health & Fitness Expo in its new location at the Gaylord National Resort (201 Waterfront Street) at National Harbor. The two-day event opens with an exciting ribbon breaking ceremony featuring the Marine Corps Base Quantico Ceremonial Platoon at 9:45 a.m. on Friday, October 20.

Packet Pick-Up

The first step to a successful MCM Weekend begins at Packet Pick-up!

Washington DC's 8th & I Barracks Marines will be the first to welcome and assist participants at Packet Pick-up. Materials distributed to participants include bib, clear bag, UPS baggage sticker, commemorative MCM patch, safety pins, the coveted mock neck participant shirt, and the official race program. Following Packet Pick-up, all athletes will have the opportunity to gather complimentary samples from Wegmans in the Launch Zone.

In order to have a designated individual pick up the packet for a registered participant, the runner must sign his or her E-Card and provide the individual attending the Expo a photocopy of a Photo ID (driver’s license, government ID, passport). The proxy will be required to sign the form and also show and provide a photocopy of their own Photo ID.


The official MCM and MCM10K participant bibs feature the timing device attached to the reverse side of the bib. These must remain in place for proper timing to occur.

Emergency medical and contact information form is also on the back of the bib. All participants must complete this information.

The UPS Baggage Sticker will be attached to the reverse side of every MCM and MCM10K bib. The sticker features the runner's bib number and the assigned UPS truck to be utilized for baggage drop off and pick up on event day. Carefully peel the front of the sticker off the backing and attached to the clear plastic bag to facilitate easy identification by UPS volunteers.


Security measures also will be in place at the Health & Fitness Expo as all attendees enter the Gaylord National Resort & Convention Center.


The MCM will provide free shuttle service to the Gaylord National Resort & Convention Center on Friday and Saturday from designated Metro stations. Participants and guests are instructed to utilize shuttles for easiest access to the Health & Fitness Expo.

The Gaylord National Resort & Convention Center is located at 201 Waterfront St, National Harbor, MD 20745.

To reduce traffic congestion, participants are encouraged to utilize Metro and the MCM Shuttle service to arrive at the Health & Fitness Expo at the Gaylord National Resort & Convention Center on Friday and Saturday, October 20-21. Free roundtrip shuttles will run from Eisenhower (Yellow) and Van Dorn (Blue) Metro stations to the Gaylord National Resort from 8:30 a.m. – 10:00 p.m. on Friday and 7:00 a.m. – 9:00 p.m. on Saturday.

Runners who opt to drive to the Expo may park at one of the three National Harbor garages or at the Gaylord National Resort. There is a fee for parking in National Harbor garages and at the Gaylord.

Additional transportation options to Gaylord National Resort and National Harbor including the NH1 Metrobus are available for consideration.

Golden Tickets and Giveaways

Follow the MCM on Twitter for a chance to win prizes during the Expo. Giveaways include Golden Tickets that guarantee a spot in the 2018 MCM. Via tweet, the MCM will inform followers where, when and how to win these prizes.

The first 200 runners at the opening of the Expo on both, Friday and Saturday, will receive a free copy of "Marine Corps Marathon: A Running Tradition," written by MCM Hall of Famer George Banker. George will be signing books in the MCM info booth on Friday, October 19 from 9-10 a.m.

The Health & Fitness Expo was named the 2017 “Best of Show” award winner, by the Trade Show News Network (TSNN) at its TSNN Awards celebration in New Orleans. The MCM Expo was the only endurance event to receive top honors among the five finalists nominated.The MCM partners with Hargrove Inc. of Lanham, MD to develop the show’s layout, design and construction.
