What is the Quantico 100?

It's not 100 miles. It's not 100K. The distance is totally up to the runner. The Quantico 100 presented by GEICO Military is a totally unique challenge--actually, quite ideal for those training for the Historic Half. It's a 100 minute, run-as-many-miles-as-you-can challenge. The Quantico 100 is part of the centennial celebration marking 100 years of the Marines aboard Quantico.

Starting at historic Butler Stadium, runners will begin the challenge at 5:30 p.m. (yes, a rare evening run) and follow a 2.62 mile loop course including segments on the Base, as well as the Stadium track. Within the 100 minute window, runners will complete as many laps as possible before signaled to stop.

For those seeking more immediate results, the Quantico 100 Mini is a once-around, mad dash along the 2.62 mile course beginning at 6:10 p.m. The Mini is one-tenth the marathon distance.

Same day or day-prior Packet Pick-up, great hospitality, once-in-a-hundred-years experience, an evening run and, perhaps best of all, a free post-run concert featuring Group Captain and the Mandrakes. Registration is open now for the Quantico 100 at just $35 with a special $18 fee for Active Duty military. The registration fee for the Quantico 100 Mini is $18. Sign up now or else you'll have to wait another hundred years for an event like this.
