On August 20, aboard Marine Corps Base Quantico, the MCM hosts the Quantico Tri and the new Quantico 12K. The events’ design theme features gear-shaped artwork on the shirts and the unique finisher medals. Participants receive technical shirts with the Tri shirt featuring partial sublimation art including actual event images. Tri and 12K finishers will earn gear-shaped medals. The Tri’s has multiple gears showcasing swim, bike and run scenes. The 12K gear medal is accented by a shoelace and running shoe. The Tri includes an open water 750m swim in the Potomac River, a 20K bike ride through Base and a 5K run across Officer Candidate School. The 12K features a 7.45 mile course, also at OCS. Registration is open now.
