Even if you didn’t get in the Marine Corps Marathon (MCM) through the Lottery, you can still #RunWithTheMarines at the 45thanniversary of “The People’s Marathon” in October.

More than 60 official MCM Charity partners with causes ranging from medical research and military support to education and social justice are offering motivated runners a guaranteed entry and the chance to raise funds and awareness for a cause that really matters.

Running for a charity can be a meaningful and rewarding experience. Some organizations provide training and nutrition plans, group runs, a sense of camaraderie and the added benefit of keeping you motivated to cross that finish line.

Visit the MCM charity webpage for the complete list of charity partners. Choose an organization that resonates with you and click the links to connect directly with the organization and their representatives to find out how you can add purpose to your miles. Charities may have entries to the MCM, MCM10K and even the MCM50K. Look for the different event opportunities listed under each charity’s logo.

This year’s MCM finishers will leave with a special medal featuring volcanic ash from the island of Iwo Jima to celebrate 45 years of running with the Marines and the 75th anniversary of the battle that took place there.

And if you were selected in the Lottery drawing, you too can still run for a cause. Just ask your charity of choice how!
