Imagine getting behind the wheel with someone else’s driver’s license in your wallet. Would you even think about going on a vacation carrying another person’s passport? Could you knowingly post pictures on your Facebook page of a complete stranger’s life and pretend its you? Seems unlikely. So the MCM is reminding runners not to follow a path similar to these wild scenarios and NOT SWITCH BIBS. The MCM is unique in that it offers a transfer program enabling registered runners who are unable to participate in the MCM to officially transfer a bib to a hopeful, non-registered runner. Making an official transfer keeps the data intact and avoids discrepancies that could arise in the awards program or even confusing one’s identity. MCM transfer program begins on June 13.
