Carbo Dining In
The Marine Corps Marathon hosts the Carbo Dining In at the Hyatt Regency Washington on Capitol Hill on Saturday, October 30 at 6:00 p.m. Seating is limited to 800 guests and is sold out. The dinner buffet includes pasta, vegetables, rolls, salad, drinks and dessert.
Traditionally held on the eve of Marine Corps Marathon, the Carbo Dining In evokes the spirit of a traditional military dining in, which include dinner and other events to foster camaraderie and esprit de corps. The MCM's Carbo Dining In includes a pasta buffet, music, live entertainment and a featured speaker. Guests are also eligible to win prizes provided by MCM sponsors Brooks and jetBlue. |
ENTERTAINMENT The Broomall String Band is one of the oldest string bands in existence today. The band consists of several participants from a variety of backgrounds with one common attribute—the love of Mummery! Broomall is well known for its elaborate costumes and drill while performing with musical instruments. Broomall is sure to bring guests at the MCM Carbo Dining In an unforgettable Mummers experience. The Band will also appear at the MCM start line.
Named the “Voice of Track and Field,” Larry Rawson is one of television’s leading running analysts for nearly 25 years. Rawson’s experience includes commentating for six Olympic Games. An Emmy Award winner, Rawson, a Vietnam veteran, was commissioned into the United States Marine Corps in 1963 and competed internationally representing the USA as an All-Marine track champion. He will be a featured speaker at the MCM Carbo Dining In and moderator at the Health and Fitness Expo Speaker Series presented by Nissan.
