Historic Half Awards

The Marine Corps Historic Half awards ceremony is held at 9:30 a.m. on race day at the Fredericksburg Expo & Conference Center.  MCBQ Commander Colonel Choike is joined by Rick Nealis to present the awards, as well as to offer their congratulations to the winners.   

The Historic Half and Semper Fred 5K offers 128 awards, with only a handful being presented to winners on race day.  

The following awards are presented race day:

• Half Overall: top three male and top three female awards
• Half Overall Masters: top male and top female
• Top Military Finisher presented by BAE Systems
• Semper Fred 5K Overall: top male and top female
• Semper Fred 5K Masters: top male and top female 
• Relay Overall: top three teams with the fastest combined time

The following awards are mailed out after event weekend:

• Historic Half Individual Awards
  • top three male and top three females in the following increments: 10-14, 15-19, 20-24, 25-29, 30-34, 35-39, 40-44, 45-49, 50-54, 55-59, 60-64, 65-69, 70-74, 75+
• Semper Fred 5K Individual Awards
  • top male and top female in the following increments: 10 and under, 11-14, 15-19, 20-24, 25-29, 30-34, 35-39, 40-44, 45-49, 50-54, 55-59, 60+
