 Online Registration for the 2008 Marine Corps Marathon is now closed. Thank you to all those who registered for the 33rd annual event.
Active Duty Registration
Active duty military registration is now closed. Runners will be required to show their
active duty ID card at Packet Pick-up to receive race materials. This offer is good for
service members only and does not include their dependents.
MCM Deferment Policy
Registered but unable to run? You can defer your 2008 MCM entry to 2009. The deferment policy allows
registered runners to postpone their 2008 run for a guaranteed spot in the 2009 MCM. Simply fill out the
Deferment Request Form, available here. A $25 deferment fee is required and deferment requests must
be submitted by October 6, 2008.
In February 2009, runners deferring from 2008 to 2009 will receive an email containing a special one-time use
code and link to the Deferment Registration Form. Simply click through the online form, insert the code
when prompted and registration is complete! The entry fee from 2008 will convey to 2009. Please be sure to
re-register online, as the registration data will not automatically roll over. Deadlines for entry will be posted
in late 2008.
MCM Transfer Policy
Registered but unable to run? You can transfer your 2008 MCM entry to another would-be marathoner between
July 30 and September 22. The new transfer system for the 2008 MCM will require the registered runner to fill
out the online transferor request form and receive a confirmation email with a one-time use code. This
email should be passed to the transferee, who will need the code to fill out the online transferee application
and pay the $25 transfer fee. Click here for more details.

Register for the MCHH
Thank you to all those who participated in the inaugural 2008 Marine Corps Historic Half
in Fredericksburg, VA. More than 3,800 runners crossed the finish line. Click here to view
results. The 2009 Marine Corps Historic Half will be held on May 17. Registration begins
on January 7, 2009. Visit the MCHH website for details.
 Join Miles and Molly, the MCM Mascots, as well as Marines and the Fredericksburg
community for the Semper Fred 5K, a 3.1 mile run/walk for families and
fitness enthusiasts for all ages. Beginning just minutes after the Marine Corps Historic
Half, participants will enjoy an out-and-back course and are invited to take in the amusement and excitement of
race day activities. Registration for the 2009 event, to be held on May 17, will open online beginning January 7.

 Turkey Trot- On November 15, 2008, the Turkey Trot will offer entrants a traditional
10K run, complete with a turkey for the winner! Beginning at 9:00 a.m., the race is
open to participants ages 10 and up. Registration opens online on September 24 at
noon eastern.
