A Tour Through the MCM Runners' Expo presented by AdvancePCS
The MCM Runners' Expo will be held at the Hyatt Regency Crystal City from Thursday, October 23 through Saturday, October 25. If you've been to the Expo before, you have a pretty good idea of what to expect, although there have been some exciting changes. If this is your first Expo, the MCM team looks forward to guiding you through the experience. As you enter the main lobby of the Hyatt Regency, you will find the Marine Corps Marathon Pasta Party ticket booth. The Pasta Party is held in the Hyatt Regency on Saturday, October 25. Turn left at the Pasta Party booth after purchasing your tickets and go down two levels on the escalator to the Atrium level. Once on the Atrium level, make a right and go into the Potomac Room to pick up your race packet, which includes your bib, chip, patch, safety pins and other goodies. Follow the signs to have your chip scanned. Don't forget this step!
As you exit the Packet Pick-up area, and enter the Atrium, you will flow into the MCM Brooks Store...filled with MCM technical running gear, casual apparel and other novelties.
As you return to the Exhibit level up the escalator, you will find the Cisco MCM Information Center available to assist you. Nearby is the Kids Run and MCM5K registration booths, plus DC Maps (where you can purchase a commemorative MCM course map) and Metro (definitely buy your Metro pass to avoid race day congestion).
Now head straight into Hall A (can't miss the large arch with 2003 Marine Corps Marathon Runners Expo presented by AdvancePCS inviting you into the Expo). Here is where you will not only pick up your coveted MCM long sleeve participant shirt (Hall A), but have the chance to meet sponsors and shop the top of the line vendors offering the best in health, fitness, apparel and nutrition. The Expo exit is Hall C, but don't leave until after you enjoy a free massage from Guardian Care Alliance of Virginia.
There will be friendly and knowledgeable Marines stationed around the Hyatt Regency to assist you with Packet Pick-up.

with a time of 2:21:16 at the London Marathon, at 6:30 p.m.
Advice from Tylenol 8 Hour
By now you've finished a few long runs and know what your favorite sports drink flavor is and which mile you'll ingest a sports bar or gel. As you get closer to race day, it is important to continue the routine you've built for yourself throughout your training. If that pair of socks held up for your 20-miler, wear ‘em on race day. If the gel was easier to carry attached to your shorts than the energy bar, bring it. The point - don't change things up on race day. Go with what you know. If you have a chronic tug, like a hamstring injury or knee problem, consider now if you'll need a pain reliever on race day. Bear in mind that recent studies have shown that NSAIDs (like ibuprofen, naproxen sodium and aspirin) may increase the likelihood of hyponatremia when running longer distances. If you use a pain reliever, Acetaminophen (Tylenol®) is the safe choice. Try Tylenol® 8 Hour now as you train, it is the new Tylenol specially formulated to treat your muscle aches and pains.
