MCM Runners Conference

Runners ConferenceThe MCM Runners Conference will be held on Saturday, October 25 at the MCM Headquarters Hotel, the Hyatt Regency Washington on Capitol Hill. Two entertaining and educational 60-minute sessions are planned. The program features local and national running experts, along with MCM staff in guided panel discussions.

MCM Runners Conference sessions are free, however, runners must register to attend. Registration for both sessions begins in September and space is limited. Participants may choose to attend both discussions, but must register for them separately. Shuttles are available to bring runners from the Health & Fitness Expo to the Hyatt Regency to attend the Runners Conference—so plan accordingly.

Runners Conference

"Intro to the MCM" begins at 1:00 p.m. This session will address MCM-specific topics to help runners to best navigate participation in “The People’s Marathon.” The expert panel includes Rick Nealis, MCM Race Director; Captain Michelle Weinstein, MCM Medical Operations officer; and representatives from longtime MCM partners, Brooks and Clif Bar.

A second session will be held at 2:15 p.m. Focus of the session will be announced at a later date. Traditionally, this session has featured information and last-minute tips for all marathoners.

Chas Henry will moderate the MCM Runners Conference panels and facilitate the Q&A. A combat-decorated former Marine, Chas anchors midday broadcasts at the Washington, D. C. radio station All News 99.1 WNEW.

Registration opens September 10.
