First Timers Pep Rally

While you certainly have the Health and Fitness Expo presented by GE on your schedule, the MCM is happy to invite you to register for the following First Timers Pep Rally being hosted at the Hyatt Regency Washington on Capitol Hill, the MCM headquarters hotel, on Friday, October 25. 

An average of one third of the MCM's annual 30,000 runner race field is comprised of first time marathoners. Long recognized as the best beginner marathon, the MCM will inaugurated over 11,000 new marathoners in 2012.

First timers are invited to charge head first into MCM Weekend at the MCM First Timers Pep Rally on Friday, October 25 from 7:00 - 9:00 p.m. at the Hyatt Regency Washington on Capitol Hill at 400 New Jersey Avenue NW in Washington, D.C. First timers may order off a special dinner menu. Free appetizers will be provided. Cash bar will also be available. A $5 admission fee will be charged for runners and $10 fee for guests.

Hosted by Rob Powers, the evening's program will include a special Welcome to the MCM by Comcast SportsNet, the MCM Expert Panel Q&A, great music, cheerleaders, giveaways including a commemorative first timers pin. It’s the best way to meet other first timers and share the excitement of MCM Weekend. 

Invitations to this event will be emailed to all first timers, who may bring one guest.  Tickets are $5 per runner and $10 per guest.  Space is limited so secure a spot quickly. When the event was introduced in 2010, the tremendous response resulted in a sell out in less than 24 hours. All First Timers who register for the Pep Rally will receive a confirmation email that serves as the ticket to enter the event. Registration for the First Timers will open in September.
