MCM Weekend from October 24 to 27 Offers Something for Everyone
The MCM hosts a thrilling weekend of events welcoming runners, spectators and the public. The weekend kicks off with the Health & Fitness Expo by GE featuring running products and access to experts and culminates including the 38th MCM with 30,000 runners from all 50 states and 54 countries.

Thursday, Oct. 24 through Saturday, Oct. 26
More than 100,000 will visit the Expo showcasing more than 200 exhibitors and interactive displays with free massages, food samplings and direct access to running industry experts. All MCM, MCM10K and Healthy Kids Fun Run participants will pick up their race-day packets and participant shirts at the Expo, which is free and also open to the public.

Hyatt Regency Washington on Capitol Hill
Friday, Oct. 25
An average of one third of the MCM's annual 30,000 runner race field is comprised of first time marathons. This event celebrates the first-time MCM participants, many who are expected to gather at the Hyatt Regency. The program includes the MCM Expert Panel Q&A, great music, cheerleaders, giveaways.

MCM Finish Line
Saturday, October 26
An amazing opportunity to run the National Mall with MCM staff, Marine runners and Runners World Magazine. A 5K shakeout run will be held on the morning prior to the 38th MCM, Saturday, October 26. The 3.1 mile course begins on the Mall and concludes at the Marine Corps War Memorial, where Runners bRUNch will be served in the VIP tent adjacent to the MCM finish line. Hear featured speakers offering tips and tales from the road and visualize success at "The People's Marathon." Registration for the Runners bRUNch is available beginning in September. Open to registered MCM and MCM10K, runners as well as anyone else who is motivated to run.
Healthy Kids Fun Run

Saturday, Oct. 26
Three thousand kids ages 5-12 will participate in the one-mile fun run that also offers a full day of entertainment at the family fitness called Camp Miles. The kids will run in five waves from 9:30 to noon while enjoying music and entertainment, many other team and organizational mascots, Fit Arlington challenges and other great activities hosted by the National Children's Museum, and "FAMILY Magazine."
MCM Runners Conference
Saturday, Oct. 26
The MCM will host the MCM Runners Conference, a series of three imformative panel discussions. Topics will include Intro to the MCM, Women Running, First Timers. Each 60 minute session will feature running experts and specialists providing insights, anecdotes, advice and information to best prepare runners for the MCM and the road ahead.

In the spirit of traditional military dinners called the "Dining-In," MCM hosts this sold-out pasta event for runners and their families and friends.
MCM10K presented by Aetna
National Mall
Sunday, Oct. 27
The MCM10K includes 10,000 participants who will run 6.2 miles across the 14th Street Bridge, into Crystal City and Arlington to finish at the Marine Corps War Memorial.
38th Marine Corps Marathon
Sunday, Oct. 27
Registered participants will embark on the 26.2-mile journey in the 38th MCM starting at 7:55 a.m., with live 90-minutes of coverage beginning on Comcast SportsNet at 7:00 a.m. Comcast SportsNet will conduct live broadcast from the MCM start with highlights of the MCM's background and history. The MCM promises a spectacular start with international flags from 54 different nations, the supersonic flyover of F/A-18 Hornet attack fighter jets and CH-53 Sea Stallion helicopters, and the firing of the M2A1 Howitzer.
MCM Finish Festival
Rosslyn, VA
Sunday, Oct. 27
After enjoying post-race hospitality and posing with MarathonFoto for a picture in front of the iconic Iwo Jima Monument, 38th MCM and MCM10K finishers will proceed to the MCM Finish Festival in Rosslyn, VA. Spectators can "check their runner" throughout the day at the HP booth. Runners and spectators can visit the Brooks Finisher Store. At Family Link Up, race-day participants will need up with friends and family. They can also obtain a free massage, enjoy a beer sampling from Michelob Ultra and visit Rosslyn's Restaurant Row as entertainers perform throughout the day. MCM Announcer Rob Powers will emcee and play music from the Finish Festival platform, giving runners, spectators and guests event updates. Runners also will presented their baggage claim tickets at the UPS baggage trucks located on Wilson Boulevard.
