Healthy Lifestyle Expo

Hyundai Hope on WheelsThe Healthy Lifestyle Expo presented by Hyundai Hope on Wheels returns bigger and better than ever during Historic Half Weekend with returning favorites and exciting new vendors. Free and open to the public, the Healthy Lifestyle Expo will be held on Friday, May 17 from 4:00 to 8:00 p.m. and Saturday, May 18 from 10:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m. at the Fredericksburg Expo & Conference Center (2371 Carl D. Silver Parkway, Fredericksburg, VA  22401). Expo opening ceremonies commence at 3:30 p.m. on Friday with pageantry, prizes and giveaways available to the first runners in line. At the Expo, Historic Half, Historic 10K and Semper Fred 5K participants will pick up their race packets including the official bib with timing device, competitor shirt and event program. Guests are invited to visit over 70 vendor booths covering a range of activities and interests.

Featured stops in the Expo include the Historic Half store, where guests may purchase Historic Half-branded apparel and souvenirs; the interactive Mary Washington Healthcare booth; GEICO for great giveaways and a visit by the famous GEICO Gecko; cooking demonstrations hosted by Americraft Cookware; and much more from University of Mary Washington, Dominion Virginia Power, and Jelly Belly Sport Beans, plus licensed products from MarathonFoto and Lasting Commemoratives.

PACKET PICK-UP
All participants in the Historic Half, Historic 10K and Semper Fred are requiredHistoric Half Packet Pickup Photo to attend Packet Pick-up, located within the Healthy Lifestyle Expo to retrieve their bib with B-tag and technical competitor shirt.  Runners are required to bring their E-confirmation card and a photo ID.

Runners are highly encouraged to pick up their own race materials and to verify information to be avoid incorrect personal data or finish results. If picking up a packet for another runner, please bring a completed Packet Release Form, the runner's e-confirmation card and your photo ID.  Historic Half, Historic 10K and Semper Fred 5K e-confirmation cards will be emailed to runners three weeks prior to event weekend.

Packet Pick-up is not available on race morning.

SPEAKER SERIES

The Historic Half invites runners to the idea exchange known as the Speaker Series for inspiration and information. Held at the Healthy Lifestyle Expo at the Fredericksburg Expo & Conference Center on Friday, May 17 and Saturday, May 18, the Speaker Series features MCM Race Director Rick Nealis, Marathon Junkie Chuck Engle and historian Jay Foonberg, who will focus on the Marine Corps part of the weekend, by addressing the heroism of the U.S. Marines at Iwo Jima. Other highlights include Zumba demonstrations and a VA Runner pre-race prep and pep talk.
