Crossroads 17.75K

Crossroads 2010 logoHonor the men and women of the United States Marine Corps on June 12 beginning at 7:00 a.m. by participating in Crossroads 17.75K. The 11-mile (17.75K) distance is unique to the MCM Event Series and commemorates the year in which the USMC was founded. Crossroads 17.75K is open to runners ages 10 and older.

Crossroads 17.75K is open to runners ages 10 and older.  Online registration is now open. The $45 registration fee includes all race materials, official event technical shirt, bib, hospitality and more. Active duty and reservists military members are eligible for a $5 discount on MCM Event Series entry fees.







Course
View the downloadable Crossroads 17.75K course map. Look for a course description, coming soon.  The course begins in Prince William County and ends at the National Museum of the Marine Corps.

Crossroads 17.75K utilizes Chronotrack Timing Systems, Inc. to record the results of runners. Each runner is provided a Disposable Timing Tag (B-tag), a disposable UHF RFID tag that stays mounted on the runner’s bib.



Packet pick-up
Crossroads photo 4Runners will be required to pick up their bib, tag and other race materials prior to the start of the event. Be sure to print the confirmation page and bring it with you to Packet Pick-up.

Packet pick-up will be at the National Museum of the Marine Corps on Friday, June 11 from 9 a.m. - 6 p.m
Packet pick-up will be at the start area on race day from 5:00 a.m. - 7:00 a.m.

Runners are encouraged to attend Packet Pick-up prior to race day.

Awards and Results
Awards are based on chip time and will be presented to the top male and female finishers and the top male and female masters finishers. Age group awards will be distributed to the male and female winners of each age group. Age groups are divided as follows: 10-14, 15-19, 20-24, 25-29, 30-34, 35-39, 40-44, 45-49, 50-54, 55-59 and 60 and older. The Crossroads 17.75K award ceremony will begin at approximately 10:00 a.m. on race day.

Complete results will be posted online shortly after the event.

Crossroads photo 1Volunteers are needed at the Start and Finish lines, Water Points, Aid Stations, Packet Pick-up and more. Medical volunteers will be required to provide their credentials.

Online volunteer registration begins on April 28, 2010.
