Chuck Bell
NBC4 Meteorologist Trains with Marines
NBC 4 TV Meteorologist Chuck Bell, who is training for the marathon joined MCM Deputy Director Angela Huff and MCM Operations Manager Bret Schmidt along with five of their running partners for an early morning run on Marine Corps Base Quantico. The group ran from Quantico’s Barber Gym, to the Medal of Honor Golf Course and into historic Quantico Town where they took in the scenery along the Potomac River. From there, they traveled to MCBQ headquarters at LeJeune Hall and ran a bit further to an appropriate finish on the Butler Stadium running track.
“It was face-paced and exciting to run with Chuck,” said Huff. “Although we all had different pace times we managed to keep together and all enjoy the training run … and you could definitely feel Marine Corps Marathon is close at hand.”
Bell is running his third MCM.
“The Marine Corps Marathon is my home race,” said Bell. “I like it because I run and train in Washington, D.C. year round and the Marine Corps Marathon is the one time when I can take in all of the monuments and beauty of the city while running down the middle of the street.”
Hopefully, Bell will predict cool temperatures and clear skies on race morning.
