Team Entry Instructions

  1. Individual runners must be officially registered in the Marine Corps Marathon prior to being included on a team.
  2. Individual runners may not be registered on more than one team.
  3. All team members must be listed on the team application.
  4. At least three but no more than five runners comprise a team.
  5. In all cases, only the first three finishers count toward scoring except for the mixed (E) category.
  6. First place is computed by the average team time (aggregated time of top three finishers on each team).
  7. The team captain must check-in at the Solution Center during the Health & Fitness Expo's Packet Pick-Up to verify team information and/or make changes. Failure to do so may result in disqualification.
  8. The team captain shall indicate the desired team category on the application. The Marine Corps Marathon will determine eligibility based on individual team member applications. Team category eligibility criteria are based on team representation and/or employment.



Team Categories and Eligibility Criteria

  1. A. Men: Any group of men.
  2. B. Women: Any group of women.
  3. C. Masters: Any group of men or women with each member at least 40 years old.
  4. D. Military: Any group of people who hold a current military ID as an Active, Retired, or Reserve military member of any country.
  5. E. Mixed: Any group of runners, but for scoring purposes, at least one male and female time must be included in results. The third finishing time may be from either gender.
  6. F. Running Store Computition. Must register through an approved Running Store.
